On December 24, 2020, the Senior Leadership Team asked the COVID Clinical Response Committee (CCRC) to gather a representative group of individuals to provide urgent guidance on the implementation of priority vaccination of Healthcare Workers at William Osler Health System utilizing the current provincial guidance and the ethical frameworks.
The authority for this framework was provided to CCRC by the Senior Leadership Team at William Osler Health System.
As core to this work, this CCRC Subcommittee believes in transparency of principles, process, and documentation. Documents will be continually updated and should not be taken as final until they are marked as such. Any document marked as final will remain on the website and further versions posted below. “In progress” documents will be updated as updates are provided.
IMPORTANT
Based on the changing landscape of recommendations, we have shifted away from an environment where there was vaccine scarcity. For now, the current environment is one where the focus is on maximal and equitable deployment of the vaccine. Next, we turn our attention to evidence-based strategies to assist with informing staff and the public honestly and addressing vaccine hesitancy with kindness, honesty, and understanding.
During crisis, expect and plan for change based on expected and unexpected future direction and events. This will change. We aim for transparency.
