Responsible, ethical, evidence-informed use and appropriate conservation of PPE is everyone’s responsibility.
We acknowledge there is practice variability internationally regarding PPE recommendations.
This is our current medical practice. It evolves constantly. Osler staff are reminded to check Oslernet for direction on processes and IPAC advice.
We are following the guidelines as established by Public Health Ontario and Public Health Agency of Canada General Guidance and their Infection Control Recommendations. Recently released guidelines for Ontario Health have now consolidated this advice in Ontario. We are confident the recommendations have been generated based on the best science available to date.
